NEW PROBLEMS OF DEMOCRACY IN VENESUELA

Abstract
F
ormulation of the problem: The article of analysis is foreign-policy strategy of the USA as activity of the state that is sent to plugging of Latin America in the process of forming of advantageous model of international relations and includes resolution of long duration aims and corporate strategic planning taking into account correlation of application in space and in time of necessary resources, as activity of the American state that is sent to determination and achievement of long-term aims in a region by means of corresponding facilities.
Purpose of the research: Main objective of study is research aim consists in realization of analysis of the systems of direction of foreign-policy strategy of the USA, consideration of role of resource factor of American foreign-policy strategy in relation to Latin America in the post-bipolar world.
Research methods: The following research methods were used to address the issues set in the article: general scientific methods — descriptive, systemic, structural-functional, comparative, institutional-comparative; general logical methods — empirical, statistical, prognostic modeling and analysis; special methods of political science. The preference was given to the method of political-system analysis, by which the common and distinctive characteristics of the basic components of soft power strategies were identified, reflecting existing political, public, information and other challenges for international relations and global development. For empirical research, the factual basis was used, which was compiled by an expert survey of Ukrainian specialists-political scientists. Practical and systematic methods were used to analyze the system of relations in the Caribbean region from four perspectives: the United States — the Caribbean, the United States — reginal poriegn policy influence, as well as relations between the Caribbean countries.
The article analyzes the priorities of the empirical investigations of political corruption, those devoted to its theoretical component are still largely missing. Therefore, there is a wide gap between the degree of scrutiny of political corruption phenomenon in Venesuela and foreign political science, which requires the systematization and analysis of foreign scholars’ contributions on the issue. Once one of Latin America’s longest-running democracies and the country with the largest proven crude oil reserves in the world, Venezuela has been driven to the brink of collapse by years of economic mismanagement, rampant corruption, and mounting authoritarianism by President Nicolás Maduro’s government.
