Author Guidelines

REQUIREMENTS FOR ARTICLES:

Technical requirements:
- Format - A4 (210x297).
- The volume of the article is 12-30 pages.
- Font - Times New Roman, size 14.
- Line spacing - 1.5.
- Margins: top - 2 cm, bottom - 2 cm, left - 3 cm, right - 1.5 cm.
- Paragraph indentation - 1.25 cm, using a tabulator, the same throughout the article.
- Quotation marks should be the same throughout the article ("quotation marks")
- A hyphen "-" (printed without spaces) and a dash "-" (printed with spaces) should be distinguished.
- Illustrative material is printed in italics.
- References in the text of the publication should be accompanied by numbers in square brackets, indicating first the position of the cited edition in the bibliographic references, then the page (for example: [2, p. 22]), multi-volume editions - [6, vol. 2, p. 238]). The full stop in a sentence is placed after the parentheses.
- Key words should be separated by ; (semicolon), and their number should not exceed 8 positions.
- The list of references in the references should contain at least 8 items.

Languages of publications: Ukrainian, English.

STRUCTURAL ELEMENTS OF THE ARTICLE

1. Section of the journal. (Top right corner of the page, font Times New Roman (Cyr), font size 14)
2. UDC index (top left corner of the page, font Times New Roman (Cyr), font size 14).
3. Surname, first name, patronymic of the author(s), place of work (study), academic degree, academic title, position - in two languages (Ukrainian, English) (If the article is not written in Ukrainian, the Ukrainian translation is required) - (right corner of the page, font Times New Roman (Cyr), font size 14, bold);
4. ORCID identifier of the author (required);
5. The title of the article - in two languages (Ukrainian, English) (If the article is not written in Ukrainian, the Ukrainian translation is required) (in the centre of the page, font Times New
Roman (Cyr), font size 14, bold, all caps, up to ten words);
6. Abstract - volume: from 1800 characters, in two languages (Ukrainian, English) (If the article is not written in Ukrainian, the Ukrainian translation is required) (italics from the paragraph).
7. Key words (at least 5 words or phrases separated by commas) - in two languages (Ukrainian, English) (If the article is not written in Ukrainian, the Ukrainian translation is required);
8. The text of the article, which may be in Ukrainian or English;
9. The article should contain (with highlighting in the text) the following elements:
- Statement of the problem in general and its connection with important scientific or practical tasks;
- Analysis of the latest research and publications that initiated the solution of this problem and on which the author relies, highlighting previously unresolved parts of the general problem to which the article is devoted (references to the sources of literature are mandatory);
- Formulation of the objectives of the article (task statement);
- Presentation of the main research material with full justification of the scientific results obtained;
- Conclusions and prospects for further research in this area;
- List of references (made according to the new requirements published in the National Standard of Ukraine "Information and Documentation. Bibliographic references. General provisions and rules of compilation" DSTU 8302:2015 (download)
- References (in the Roman alphabet). (According to the new rules, which take into account the requirements of international citation systems, the authors of articles should provide a list of references in two versions: one in the original language and a separate block of the same list of references (References) in the Roman alphabet (APA (7th ed.) American Psychological Association), repeating in it in the same order all sources of literature, regardless of whether there are foreign ones among them).

CONDITIONS AND PROCEDURE FOR ACCEPTING ARTICLES:

To consider publishing an article in issue No. 94/2025, please fill out the author information form and send the article and author information form to editorial_pb@knu.ua by February 15.
If the article is successfully reviewed, please send a copy of the payment receipt.
The electronic version of the journal will be posted on the website after June 1, 2025.
The printed version of the journal will be sent to authors who order a printed copy after June 30, 2025.

To consider the publication of an article in No. 95/2025, you must fill out the author's information form by May 15 and send the article and author's information form to editorial_pb@knu.ua.
If the article is successfully reviewed, a copy of the payment receipt must be sent.
The electronic version of the journal will be posted on the website after July 1, 2025.
The printed version of the journal will be sent to authors who order a printed copy after July 31, 2025.

To consider the publication of an article in No. 96/2025, you must fill out the author's information form by August 15 and send the article and author's information form to editorial_pb@knu.ua.
If the article is successfully reviewed, you must send a copy of the payment receipt.
The electronic version of the journal will be posted on the website after October 1, 2025.
The printed version of the journal will be sent to authors who order a printed copy after October 31, 2025.

To consider the publication of an article in No. 97/2025, you must fill out the author's information form by October 15 and send the article and author's information form to editorial_pb@knu.ua.
If the article is successfully reviewed, you must send a copy of the payment receipt.
The electronic version of the journal will be posted on the website after December 1, 2025.
The printed version of the journal will be sent to authors who order a printed copy after January 31, 2026.

To consider the publication of an article in No. 98/2025, you must fill out the author's information form by November 15 and send the article and author's information form to editorial_pb@knu.ua.
If the article is successfully reviewed, you must send a copy of the payment receipt.
The electronic version of the journal will be posted on the website after January 1, 2026.
The printed version of the journal will be sent to authors who order a printed copy after January 31, 2026.

To consider the publication of an article in No. 99/2025, you must fill out the author's information form by December 15 and send the article and author's information form to editorial_pb@knu.ua.
If the article is successfully reviewed, you must send a copy of the payment receipt.
The electronic version of the journal will be posted on the website after January 31, 2026.
The printed version of the journal will be sent to authors who order a printed copy after February 28, 2026.

PROHIBITION OF USING SCIENTIFIC WORKS OF THE OCCUPYING COUNTRY:

It is forbidden to cite in the text and include in bibliographical lists those sources published in Russian in any country, as well as sources in other languages if they are published in Russia and Belarus.

ACADEMIC INTEGRITY:

The editorial board carries out internal anonymous peer review of articles and checks for plagiarism. The articles in the journal are checked for plagiarism using StrikePlagiarism.com software from the Polish company Plagiat.pl.
The article may be returned to the author for revision or for further work with this material. The authors are fully responsible for the content of the materials and their compliance with scientific and ethical standards.
The editorial board accepts articles by students only in co-authorship with their supervisor (or another scientist with a PhD or doctoral degree).
Articles that do not meet the formatting requirements are not accepted for publication.

COST OF PUBLISHING THE ARTICLE:

The publication fee is 1000 UAH (for 12 pages). For each additional page over the specified volume, you must pay UAH 100. The publication fee covers the costs associated with reviewing, proofreading and editing articles, layout of the collection and publishing its electronic version.
The electronic version of the journal is posted in a timely manner in the public domain on the website of the publication.
Upon request, the author of the article can order a printed copy of the journal. The cost of a printed copy is 400 UAH, which must be paid in addition to the publication fee.
Payment details for the publication fee will be sent to the authors after the mandatory internal anonymous peer review of scientific articles and their plagiarism check.

 

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. This submission has not been previously published or submitted to other journals (or in the comments to the editor below, please provide the necessary explanations).
  2. The submission file is a document in Microsoft Word format (*.doc or *.docx).
  3. Internet links in the text are accompanied by full correct URL addresses.
  4. The text is typed in 14-point size with 1.5 line spacing; author's emphasis is italicised rather than underlined (everywhere except for URLs); all illustrations, graphs and tables are placed directly in the text, where they should be in the content (not at the end of the document).
  5. The text complies with the requirements for style and bibliography set out in the Guidelines for Authors of the section ‘About the Journal’.
 

Copyright Notice

Authors who publish with this journal agree to the following terms:

  1. Authors retain copyright and grant the journal right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution License that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgement of the work's authorship and initial publication in this journal.
  2. Authors are able to enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal's published version of the work (e.g., post it to an institutional repository or publish it in a book), with an acknowledgement of its initial publication in this journal.
  3. Authors are permitted and encouraged to post their work online (e.g., in institutional repositories or on their website) prior to and during the submission process, as it can lead to productive exchanges, as well as earlier and greater citation of published work (See The Effect of Open Access).

 

Privacy Statement

The editorial board uses the personal information of authors, reviewers, editors, and other persons registered on the journal's website (names and email addresses) only for the purpose of verifying, reviewing, and/or publishing articles and does not transfer it to any other party.
The editorial board recognises that all materials submitted to the journal are the private and confidential property of the authors. To avoid causing harm to authors or reviewers through premature disclosure of any information from the author's original article, it is prohibited to share any details of submitted articles or review reports with third parties.
All editors and reviewers involved in the editorial process must not disclose information about the content of the author's original article (in whole or in part), the status of the review process, reviewers' comments and suggestions, or the interim or final results of the review to anyone other than the authors and reviewers. Any requests from third parties regarding the use or transfer of manuscripts submitted for publication in the Journal will be rejected by the editorial board.
The editorial board ensures the confidentiality of reviewers in the double-blind review process.
All employees involved in the editorial process must refrain from making any comments and not disclose any details of the editorial process, the review process during preparation for publication, and after publication of the article.
The editorial board does not keep copies of rejected manuscripts. Reviewers' comments may not be published or disclosed in any other way without the permission of the reviewer, author, and editor-in-chief.
